I just got back from the Star Trek midnight premiere showing and asdfghjkl;

omg so this guy in the library near me was watching the new Game of Thrones ep (and i was practically watching it with him) so yeah, pretty great

So I went to London yesterday to see Les Mis and I just
everything was just so flawless and perfect and all the cast were amazing
and dear god Marius was gorgeous … his portrayal made me like his character 10x more ngl (and him and Cosette were adorable precious bbs)
and Fantine especially was just .. wow
and serious Enjolras/Grantaire bromance going on right there
we had such good seats and i was just in tears by the end and ugh
I want to see it again

So it’s been a bit quiet here lately, but that’s partly because I HAVE THE BEST FRIENDS EVER who took me on a surprise trip to London to see Wicked yesterday for my (belated) 21st birthday! also the fact i still have to write my dissertation but mehh that can wait xD Anywho i’ll get to replying to messages asap! (sorry it’s taken so long to reply to some!)

Well first off I think she’s a fantastic addition to the show and i’m so glad she’s become a regular for next series because Belle is one of my favourite Disney princesses, and i’ve loved Emilie since Lost ♥
I love how the show’s portrayed her as strong and selfless, but not in the way that goes completely against the female ‘stereotype’. She proves you don’t have to take on the stereotypical characteristics of a man, such as wielding a sword, to be an amazing and tough female character.
I mean, yeah you can immediately see Snow, for example, as a strong female character as she’s being all badass with a bow and arrow, and fighting people with swords etc. (which is awesome in it’s own right) … but i love how Belle doesn’t do any of those things, she doesn’t have to be physically strong to reflect her strength of character. She’s badass because she sacrificed herself for her family, she showed kindness and was honest and non-judgmental, and was determined to make Rumple realise the man he really was, despite how frightening and intimidating he could be … she was brave and never backed down, and that’s what I love about her :)

& also visited the family for the weekend (but that’s obviously less important ahaa)

omg just been ice skating for the first time in like ten years, my little sister’s there whizzing around like a pro, and then there’s me …
ahaa … I wasn’t too bad in the end though .. i just like sports where my feet are firmly on solid ground xD
I actually haven’t been asked this outright so i shall try and explain and have it make some sense xD
I know we never got that much about them in the books, but what we did get basically gave enough character for fanfics to expand on and tbh it’s been amazing fanfic that made me ship it hardcore, and there’s quite a few awesome ones out there … i just love the whole idea of a love/hate relationship, especially one where you know full well that they’ll get together in the end because obviously, no Jily means no Harry :P it’s just all their banter and how you get the bad guy/good girl scenario and, at least in my headcanon anyways, he’s the one going after her for so long and basically ends up maturing as she realises they’re actually perfect for each other … also I think it’s the fact i love an angsty story and tbh Jily is the epitome of tragic considering how it ends :( oh, and i love action/drama as well and the whole background of the First Wizarding War and how they defeat Voldemort three times (like badasses) just makes me love them even moreee :D
