Lily stepped forward and took a sniff of the potion. She smelt a certain someone from a wet day of Quidditch practice. She shook her head and turned to Professor Slughorn, to answer his question.
“This is Amortentia - a power Love Potion. It causes a powerful infatuation or obsession in the drinker. Also, it has a different aroma for everyone who smells it, reminding each person of the things that they find most attractive, even if the person themselves don’t acknowledge or are unaware of their fondness for the object of their affection, Professor Slughorn.”
Lily: I wanted to thank you for that thing you did with, um, i mean. For saving Severus from Moony the other night. That was almost noble of you.
James: Well, you’re welcome, Evans. But you do know that’s not why i did it, right?
Lily: Yeah, i know. It still matters, though.
James: My god, you’re so attracted to me right now it’s actually giving me second-hand embarrassment.
